Togakushi’s Kagami Pond村

A “warm water reservoir” constructed for raising the temperature of the cold water originating from the Togakushi mountains to temperatures suited for rice farming, this is an important place for raising produce with this clear water. Located in the Myoko Togakushi Renzan National Park, Mt. Togakushi reflection in the mirror-like waters for which the pond is named changes with the seasons, and many people come to this breathtaking spot to enjoy the scenic beauty of nature, photography, and painting.
Togakushi Shrine has gained fame as a “power spot” in recent years, and there are many places to see nearby, such as the approach to the rear shrine where a commercial was filmed, making this Togakushi’s prime sightseeing spot.
